FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA – Queen Chela Demuir and the Unique Woman’s Coalition are thrilled to announce TransGiving Dinner #23, a cherished annual event that will take place at The Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center, 1001 N. Martel Ave, Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, November 19th, from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Trans-Giving Dinner is a heartwarming tradition created to offer a traditional holiday feast and a welcoming social space for Transgender, Non-Binary, and Gender-Expansive community members during a time when many may miss their families the most.

This year, as we celebrate the 23rd anniversary of this important event, we are excited to offer dinner tickets exclusively through our website. An RSVP is required to join us for dinner and to dance the night away. The evening will be filled with entertainment, valuable resources, and the warmth of our community tribe. We are deeply grateful for the generous support of our sponsors, FLUX, and the City of West Hollywood.

In addition to the festivities, we are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of Trans Chorus Los Angeles and its leaders, Kathryn Davis and Abby Hall. They have lit the torches that fuel the voices that lift our hearts and spirits. Their dedication and impact on our community at large are nothing short of remarkable.

Founded in 1997 by community Pioneer Queen Chela Demuir, the Unique Woman's Coalition (UWC) is the first Los Angeles-based organization for and by Transgender people of color. UWC's mission is to create safe spaces and platforms that empower and amplify the voices of the Black Trans community, enhancing the quality of life for all.
